GIZ Thailand had the honour of welcoming the President of the Federal Republic of Germany on his first official visit to Thailand to the Inclusive Sustainable Rice Landscapes (ISRL) project's integrated farmland in Ubon Ratchathani, which aims to sustainably stabilise the ecosystem within local communities. Additionally, several projects hosted numerous engaging activities related to rice, including participation in the 'Thailand Rice Fest' event and training on sustainable uses of rice straw to prevent the practice of burning. Other training sessions were conducted, such as regional training to proactively address and resolve the persistent issue of cross-border haze, Government Green Procurement (GGP), and Green Label Certification Bodies capacity building.

Crucial meetings in the first quarter included presentations of the Climate, Coastal and Marine Biodiversity (CCMB) project to outline project directions and plans, as well as the initiation support for the second phase of developing a classification system (Thailand Taxonomy). Moreover, there were workshops on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and the ASEAN Access stakeholders' meeting to discuss sustainable strategies to improve the platform. Several projects also engaged in meetings with partners to facilitate efficient joint operations.
