In this final edition of the year, GIZ Thailand is pleased to showcase the array of events and activities that have illuminated our path from September to December 2023.
GIZ Thailand was proud to officially launch the Thai-German Cooperation on Energy, Mobility, and Climate (TGC EMC) project and support the organisation of the IKI Thailand Workshop, both of which were honoured by the presence of Dr. Philipp Behrens, Head of Division, International Climate Initiative (IKI), Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). These efforts reflect the collaboration between Thailand and Germany in their goal to substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This collaboration spans various sectors including policy, energy, transport, and others.
Moreover, the International Hydrogen Ramp-Up “H2Uppp” Programme and the Regenerative Coconuts Agriculture Project (ReCAP) have concluded, leaving behind impressive insights and practices. Highlights include the presentations by our projects on interesting findings and workshops on climate risk finance, taxonomy, capacity building, sustainable urban development, sustainable agriculture, peatlands management, and energy. The signing of the MoU with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration on reducing single-use plastic was also a memorable milestone. We sincerely hope to further expand our collaboration with Thailand in the future.
To bid adieu to the year 2023, GIZ Thailand would like to extend warm holiday wishes to you and wish you a New Year filled with joy, inspiration, and sustainability.
