Advance SCP Planning Workshop

Since the SCP4LCE project will come to an end soon and BMUB has immediately funded another 3-year project in order to keep SCP4LCE momentum, after launch the project "Advancing and Measuring Susutainable Consumption and Production for a Low-Carbon Economy in Middle-Income and Newly Industrialized Countries (Advance SCP)" on 2 September 2015 at Anantara Bangkok Riverside Report and Spa - Thailand, the project Advance SCP is building up on the achievements and GIZ also organized the project Planning Workshop during 3 - 4 September 2015 to provide a common understanding of the project work plan among the partner organizations from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand with 39 participants.

GIZ will focus its activities on four countries in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines). Activities will concentrate on institutional support, strengthening sustainability information policies and tools for sustainable and low carbon consumption and production patterns, technical capacity development, integration and collaboration on climate-friendly criteria of Eco Labels (Type I) and knowledge transfer. In order to provide a common understanding of the project work plan among the partner organizations, the 2-day planning workshop is scheduled with the following specific objectives:
  1. To reach a common understanding of Advance SCP project objectives
  2. To define respective countries’ needs within Advance SCP project scope
  3. To prepare draft activity plan for each country
  4. To identify stakeholders in each respective country
  5. To define the Project Steering Committee (PSC)
  6. To define the Project Implementation Units (PIU) in each country
